Malawi 2015

In 2015 VDWCONSULT took part in a project in Malawi of Vitens Evides International as short term expert Awareness Raising and Communication. In the city of Mzuzu I developed together with several stakeholders a Water Demand Management Strategy (Mitigating Water Demand) including a Training and Campaign Plan for NRWB (Northern Regional Water Board). Several workshops organized together with representatives of the city of Mzuzu, Mzuzu City Council and Plan Nederland/Plan Malawi (NGO) attended by many other stakeholders from the community provided the basis for the Water Demand Management Strategy. The objective of the Campaign Plan was to raise awareness in the community with respect to scarcity of drinking water and to reduce water consumption with campaigns directed to specific target groups.
